The other day, I was working on a bug for almost two hours.
My brother walked in and asked:

I said Yeah.
He looked at my screen and replied:
But nothing has changed.
And honestly he wasn’t wrong.
From the outside, development looks ridiculous.
You can spend hours staring at one line of code, change one character, and suddenly everything works.
Then you get excited.
Your family looks at you like:
“You were doing THAT for two hours?”
What they don't see is the process behind it.
The failed attempts.
The documentation.
The debugging.
The random Stack Overflow tabs.
The moment you finally understand why the code wasn't working.
And then comes the funniest part:
You fix the problem...
and immediately get another error.
I used to think being a developer was mostly about knowing how to code.
Now I think a huge part of it is simply having the patience to keep asking:
Okay, why isn't this working?
until it finally does.
