You start with a simple idea:
Let’s just add this one feature.
Sounds easy.
Then you realize you need to change something else.
That breaks another thing.
You fix that.
Now something completely unrelated stops working.
And suddenly, a small feature has turned into a full investigation.
But honestly, I think that’s what development really is.
Not just coding.
It’s understanding why something broke, figuring out what actually needs to change, and sometimes having the discipline to say
Maybe we shouldn’t build this at all.
The more I learn about development, the more I believe:
Good developers don't just build faster. They learn to think better.
